That's an exaggeration, but it is true that Democrats are going full on with intersectionality in presidential tickets from now on. We'll not see a presidential ticket by the Democrats of two white men for a long time, even though that was the standard for both parties until 2008. Before 2008, every single ticket by both parties was two men except for the Democrats in 1984 where the vice presidential nominee was female. Now, Democrats haven't had a ticket of two white men since 2004, with John Kerry and John Edwards. 2008 and 2012, they had a black guy, then 2016 a woman, then in 2020 they broke the streak by having an elderly white guy so they compensated by getting a woman that's every ethnicity at the same time, and now that woman is the nominee in 2024. 2004 was the last two-white-men ticket of the Democratic Party.
