I understand. It's impossible to control the outside world. There will always be war, conflicts, discriminations, bad people etc... and we emotionally react to this. But we sadly cannot change how the world is. We cannot stop every wars and turn the world into a utopic peaceful one, sadly.
So since we cannot control how 7 billion of humans misbehave, we cannot control our emotions resulting from that.
Can relate 100%
Theres people who hear TV news and they dont get that triggered emotionally. They feel empathy for the victim (if murder or car accident happened etc) but then they move on with their life, especially if that person isn't from their family nor they know them.
But for us people with extreme intense emotions, the "move on" process is hard to make. I see something negative or depressive that happened to someone or hear negative TV news, and I can get depressed for months bout that.
It's crazy.
