Projection? Projecting what? How can I take personally a joke I am making? That makes no sense. I say you took it personally because you said I'm acting like I'm the oldest person because I made a joke about the other guy being young, or people being young in general. If you were 21 or something you probably wouldn't have felt compelled to say that.
