Title. I feel like a toddler trying to add color to any black ink drawings whatsoever (or just applying it directly after pencil)

I need something (not digital) to add some color to whatever I'm drawing

I kid you not I'm using watercolor pencils to try it but I'm shit at it

My sister uses water colors. Looks good ngl. I believe you do the outlines first and later fill them with the water colors.

I'm guessing you meant the "paler"/less saturated colors 1st then adding more layers of color on top

I do everything in ink (after sketching some rough shapes in pencil, this includes using grayscale to mimic color like an old TV would), but I'm trying to learn this shit medium

Yes she starts with light colors first after the initial outline. Then adds in more colors. Coloring is a good cope ngl. If i had more time, id be artmaxxing.
