picking a job or field would be much easier if people were transparent and honest about how much money they make, some jobs pay a lot more than i expected and some pay a lot less than i expected after getting to talk to people about it first hand, and before some retard says to muh just google it, jfl if you think it's accurate, they usually only apply to america and even then it still won't be accurate, salaries may vary from state to state or city to city, the best financial advice and life planning in general i've heard is to find someone to talk to who has actually done or is doing what you want to achieve or what you want to get into

Its an important distinction imo. Its not as simple as one is better than the other, but very few can afford to be NEET and maintain the kind of lifestyle they want to have. The distinction becomes even more important as you move from the west to third world nations.
