why is travelling so expensive in my shithole

fellow 3rd worlders do you experience the same? travelling is insanely overpriced here, for example to visit ethopia it's 40k in our local currency which is about 5.8kusd for americans it'd be about 900 to 1k (and that's on the higher end i saw flights for even cheaper), now before someone says muh it's because of distance retard, it isn't, even with the previous example that price difference is unreasonably regardless of distant, but anyways even when travelling to near by coutries it is still over priced, to go to jamaica from here it's over 600usd for americans it's like 250usd

another example is the phillipines, here a flight to there is 900 to 1.5k for americans it's like 600-700 range
